Marlin Description: a small crab less than 10 mm across the carapace. It is reddish-orange in colour, frequently with patches of pearly white on the carapace or sometimes all of the carapace is white. Long claws and with only three pairs of walking legs apparent and a tiny fifth pair of appendages often concealed.
Porcelain crabs are related to squat lobsters, but look like crabs. They live in crevices and, as the name suggests, are rather fragile.
