Red shouldered hawk

red shouldered hawk
Description:

I took this photo from my backyard. I heared the sound first, and found it was on the top of an oak tree. I was not able to see it since it was too high and too far from my spot. After loaded the photo to my computer, I was very excited. I knew this was one type of the halks in northern Virginia, USA, but I was not sure which one was. I compared my photo with the identification of the halks in the eare. I thought it was Red-Shouldered hawk, but I'm not confident. If some one gives me some advise, it will be greatly appreciated.

Terrific!

Lovely light picking out the ruddy colours.
