Andy, If you've got a webbed up apple tree in your garden (or around Roath Lake) then I might accept this as malinellus. Otherwise it'll have to go down as Yponomeuta sp.

I have spells of activity on iSpot, and finding a moth trap in Cardiff that I didn't know about is always good from my county recorder point of view. Any chance of sending me your records?
Have to admit my keeping of moth records is not as good as it should be, particularly regarding numbers of individuals and exact dates (so little time when it comes to actually checking the trap). Also I am still very much a learner. Will send you a list of species for the year and will keep better records in future and send these to you.
