Mystery larvae(?) on beehive floor

Larvae on beehive floor

I found a large number of these creatures in my beehive this summer. They are from 2-8mm long approx and I thought they might be larvae of some sort. I have only seen them in the damp conditions we have been having this year and not before. Other beekeepers have also see them under similar conditions. The floor of a beehive usually has a scattering of dead bees, wax fragments and dropped pollen on it (and sometimes woodlice). I assume these little monkeys are eating some if not all of these things and possibly the damp wood of the floor itself. Can anyone identify them for me? Thanks Laurence
