Himalayan Balsam growing on a tree.
Description:

Himalayan Balsam is an invasive plant that grows next to water courses or at least where the ground is usually damp. The plant in the photo caught my eye because it is growing off the ground in a damp area between two branches of a living tree.

I've even seen them growing

on the crown of a repeatedly-pollarded willow.
