I didn't recognise this caddisfly that arrived in my moth trap, and didn't get round to looking at it for a while, hence the poor condition of the specimen, but it appears to be a species new to the county (as far as I can tell - no NBN records and not on the 2006 county checklist). It is a relatively localised species associated with spring-fed streams, of which there are several in the vicinity.

The species ID has been confirmed following dissection, but it's not the first for Buckinghamshire, Ian Wallace of the national recording scheme tells me there are at least two previous records.
