H. conica / H. nigrescens?

Are these the same species or different? Michael Jordan has them as different species. Phillips used to use H. nigrescens for the red variety but now only uses H. conica. Collins has H. conica = H. nigrescens. iSpot seems to have both separately. Do you use H. nigrescens because of the red cap?
