Just been looking at this in the field. The photo shows the yellow-tipped hairs on the bracts - worth examining with a hand lens, very striking!

I agree we have a few patches

I agree we have a few patches in the area but the best looking one is one growing on a back street corner in the village and I keep meaning to go with my camera, it is a real show off as you say the hairs are striking.
