A small yellow-flowered plant amongst grass by a path.
No interactions present.
Is the dark outline on the sepals a distinguishing feature, in your opinion? I can't find it mentioned in my books.
We saw this plant on an outing with Sue Buckingham, an experienced botanist, who told us that she found this a reliable identifying feature. That's why I mentioned it and included it in the photo. My own experience is that I haven't seen it on other Hawkbits, Hawk's-beards, Cat's-ears or relatives, but I can't personally vouch for it appearing on all Lesser Hawkbits.
Thanks, I'll look out for it.
