Description:

I am wondering which animal might have deposited these eggs. The clutch of eggs was observed submerged on a sedge, in a freshwater pond in Western Germany. The eggs were black and surrounded by a transparent gallert layer. The diameter of the clutch was 0.5 - 1 mm.
