Green and gold fly for ID

Description:

Thought at first this might be a small hoverfly but colours seem to be wrong. Green eyes - thorax gold/ green depending on angle of view - gold spots on abdomen.

Flies

There are two different flies...the antennae are different, amongst other features. The first picture is a hoverfly, probably one of the Chrysogastrini. If you add that as a separate sighting, you might get a closer ID.

Soldier fly

Thanks for the ID - this area (Ewelme Cress Beds) is known for Soldierflies but I had never seen one before.

Heaven knows how I managed to confuse myself re the other picture - now removed. I will re-submit as a hoverfly (may have other shots of this. Hopefully just a senior moment rather than a permanent brain decline.
