Description:

Found this amazing fungus by the side of a footpath leading to Steephill Cove. It has been recorded in this area before, but this is the first time I have seen it in this location.
Non botanical friends first thought it was a rotting tennis ball!!

Humph!

I'm on a day trip to the Isle of Wight on the 18th Aug. I shall have to try to slip away from the coach and have a hunt!
