This may be an old name -

It's offered in iSpot, but another one is offered for "six-spotted crane-fly", and other web sites appear to use both common names for the same species.
I'm referring to Nephrotoma appendiculata as listed in Chinery '86.

N. crocata

Is said to be principally found on sandy soils. There are other similar species, too. There is a guide for the discerning at -

I have not followed it, I simply went for the "commonest" species: Fungi fest could well be right.
