Hawker dragonfly?

I think the exuvia of the Brown Hawker would have banding on the legs so perhaps not a Brown Hawker.

Pity I didn't have time to hang around to see what it became!

Mask shape

The relatively short, broad labial mask is a feature of Common Hawker.

The 'brown parts' will mostly darken to black (or blackish) as it matures.
