Description:

A small puffball type species. Found in clusters in late summer and early autumn.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Common Puffball

Found under trees in leaf litter,2-6cm. It is creamy white in and out when young and can be eaten at this point, the ones pictured are brown with age and to old to eat, cells on out side wash of I n heavy rain. Please if you don't know it don't eat it.
