...but based on the description, habitat and location, not the bird (?) in the image! Lest we forget that although a picture speaks a thousand words, it isn't all that long since images as evidence for records were the exception, and people had to rely on words (and/or specimens!).
Unfortunately, quite often on iSpot the description seems to come from a guidebook or website and not a field description...have seen that so many times!The old problem, I know, but at least in the old days most people took a notebook out with them. I barely ever see anyone with one, these days...just a camera, usually.
