Yes it does now

Nowadays as soon as there's a new likely ID the group is checked & switched if necessary. It didn't use to happen, of which http://www.ispotnature.org/node/120786 (whelk isn't a seasnail) is a notorious example. But i've switched a lot from fishes to inverts, eg spongillides http://www.ispotnature.org/node/150747 & tawny minig bee http://www.ispotnature.org/node/30193
So just agreeing the 2nd ID & then removing it will do it
