initially thought to be a juvenile Goldfinch
No interactions present.
Goldfinch lacks the yellow on the tail and it has a yellow bar on the greater coverts and white tips to the tertials.
My Flickr photos...
... of course Ian. Once again a too casual a glance before clicking catches me out.
It didn't really look like a juvenile, but I thought it was a bit too "bright" for a Greenfinch
I agree - it does have a lot of yellow on the outer webs of the primaries and tail feathers, especially for an immature bird...it must be a male.
