Sooty Copper

This is a Sooty Copper I think. This one is a sub-species often found at over1000 metres in the Alps; there is no trace of orange on its wings. I do not know what it is doing in my area which is just above sea level.
Description:

This butterfly was seen along the hedgerow between the road and the railway line.
