Wenallt Woods Dead tree plants

Dark green foliose lichen growing on a dead and fallen tree trunk.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I can't make out any fine detail...

... but a slug-chewed or decaying regular (non-lichenised) fungus gets my vote.

gets my vote too.

Trametes pubescens quickly gets eaten like this (sort of slugs' equivalent of fillet steak) [or maybe cod and chips]
