Thursday 8th April I found what appeared to be frog spawn on my rather dry lawn, (there are plenty frogs around in the garden). It was dry weather and so I rescued it from drying out and put in into aquatic area. It was tiny and black and in clumps. On regular observation over the last few weeks it is increasingly looking like frog spawn. No tadpoles yet. I keenly await their arrival!

Spawn on the lawn

There are a few records of spawn out of water on iSpot this year. I'll look into what is going on.

Let us know what happens.
