A very good year for them in Oxfordshire

They are indeed a beautiful butterfly. Despite the appalling weather it seems to be a very good year for them here in Wallingford where locally I've never seen so many. They're very obliging about posing for a photograph too!

Marbled White

There were 100's in the meadows this morning, mainly on creeping thistles. It must be a good year for them as they even outnumber the Meadow Brown's.
