I didn't measure it but I think the length of skeleton (as in photo) must have been around 12 inches (although I have a poor sense of scale). I'm going back to the same bay this weekend, maybe it will still be there, this time armed with a measuring tape!
Keeled sternum, coracoid, furcula and cervical vertebrae of a bird (possibly one of the larger gulls)
