Description:

Wiry plants only 6" high with very few fine leaves and flowers either purple and white or all white, all with orange centre and long spurs. Growing though gravel at the entrance to a farm field.

Trevor James, the county

Trevor James, the county plant recorder for Hertfordshire, has looked at this post and believes it to be a garden escapee, possibly Linaria maroccana or similar, rather than L.repens. I will leave the observation as posted so people can follow this comment.
