Does anyone agree with my identification? It seems a little browner than other Bitter Boletes.
I would agree that it was a bolete but not sure if it is this one
Don't think its Tylopilus felleus, I would have gone for something like B. luridus but far from sure which species it actually is. Note the redish colours which I don't think Tylopilus felleus has.
If it were in another position I would ask if you tasted any of it as you can't mistake the nasty bitter taste of Tylopilus.

If you look at Tylopilus felleus the colours are browns and whites with no reddish hints whereas there are many other species of Boletus that have lots of red on them as your specimen has.
