Description:

Huge horsefly, a good 25mm long. Enough of the key features for a female fit, to separate from bovinus (which is not known in the area)...dark bands on tergites stretching across full width; sternites with broad black band across most of width; antennae section 3 extensively yellowish; thorax and scutellum dark (from all angles).
