Fine Shots

I agree with Sheila. Smashing shots. Well done Andy. They like those peanuts and raisins, don't they?

By the look of them you used a flash, is that right? It's surprising how little notice wildlife takes of flash photography.

Sheila, you'll just have to move if you want them in your garden! ;-).

Flash

Yes I used flash for these photos. The table with the food is about three feet from a window so they are very close. They do not mind the flash going off but just continue eating. I have to hold the lens against the window or else the pictures are just a blur as the flash reflects on the window pane.

For food we use sultanas (favourites), peanuts, honey and rasberry jam. Tonight I have put some blueberries on the table as a trial.

Maybe she won't -

Work by various people over the last few years has identified these shy little beasts occurring in very low densities across much of northern England, and even further afield from their "traditional" haunts. We can live in hope - put out some peanut butter at night and wait...

excited now

I have a night cam and peanut butter so I will live in hope I am not that far from kielder forest and very rural.I have heard they love raspberry jam so will give that a go too ;)
