Description:

This is the first time I've seen one in my garden. I am a little concerned in that its head is not as bright as I could have expected.

There was a similar discussion a while back about robins' markings. It may be the result of moulting, juvenile plumage being grown out, or injury.
To me, they still look like a "cut and shut" job between a dunnock and a canary.
