Hedgerow Plant

Unidentified Hedgerow shrub. Deep green leave, with veins, and four green unusual shaped fruits attached to each leaf. Could anyone help with identification please. It may look different later in the season, but I can't find it in any current books. Could it be a Spindle Tree? Fruits look similar, but this is usually found in Limestone area's. Book also says Central or North England but this is south west.
