Hi Colin, I would have said this was an early Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale Nymph. The red markings on the Birch shieldbug nymphs seems to always diverge towards the front of rhe abdomen into a Y shape (although faint sometimes and I know not always reliable) whereas this seems to be a distinct single red line? Or am I missing something obvious!
