Description:

A female Steataoda nobilis attacks kills and wraps an unidentified male spider - whether this was a hapless mste or simply prey is not known.
S. nobilis a large and very aggressive species arrived in the UK in bananas from the Canary Islands over a hundred years ago - they are one one the few UK spiders that can deliver a painful bite.

Amaurobius

I suspect the prey is a juvenile Amaurobius. I can't see any evidence that it's a male. It has large chelicerae - which may look like swollen palps (?)
