Not sure how to tell Common heather, cross leaved heath and bell heather apart.
No interactions present.
Heather/ling, (Calluna vulgaris) flowering late summer. Flowers purplish ,4 small petals, arranged in a spike. Leaves +/- downy, short needles appearing pressed close to the stem.
Cross-leaved Heath (Erica tetralix) grows on wetter sites than Bell Heather,leaves greyish
arranged in fours, as a cross, as both names indicate. Flower heads more globular in shape and not as showy.
