Orange Flower
Description:

This flower, growing in my garden, is the sole survivor of a set of 6 plants purchased and planted as "wild flowers" I omitted to keep the labels so this flower, which thrives and spreads given a chance is unidentfied. It has groups of orange flowers on tall, hairy stems above hairy leaves.

Fox and Cubs

Is it this species? If so, the scientific name is Pilosella aurantiaca.

Orange flower

Consulting my flowr guide it does also give the name Fox and Cubs but also gives the scientific names as Hieracium aurantiacum

always

Use the iSpot recommended button as some names are changed so guide books become out of date even if you have just bought one as it was probably printed a few years ago.

iSpot

iSpot dictionary is full of errors, so a good modern book is best.
