ONLY L.anatifera has such long necks, according to species-identification.org
It shows the 1st of the 5 Lepas sp's, & clicking next species gives th other 4; & each text in either size or remarks gives the size of the peduncle ie the neck.
(the gooseneck barnacle is much different & I presume a slipup over the name)
It was a slip-up - I had intended to enter Goose barnacle and must have chosen the wrong option from the drop-down menu. Thank you for the correction
..this is invertebrate :)
With so many agreeing is it possible that some of you could spread your agreement to finish off the last "gooseneck,Mitella pollicipes", another obvious Lepas anatifer, at http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/233492 ?
