Plume Moth

There is an excellent website covering IOW, at www.hantsmoths.org.uk - clicking on 'Flying Tonight' for the species seen locally in this week of the year. You may know the site already - but I've found it really helpful for narrowing down the possible species, etc.

Plume Moth

Thanks for this thought, Daudi. I have seen the feature in the past but forgotten about it. There are only 2 plume moths present. I've seen Emmelina monodactyla many times and this was bigger and whiter, so it will probably be the White Plume Moth (Pterophorus pentadactyla) - though I'd appreciate confirmation from someone with expertise.
Thanks again,
Stephen.
