Is it possible to identify wolf spiders from photos?
No interactions present.
There are only a few wolf spiders that can be ID'd to species from photos, largely because there are so many and some are very similar. It may be possible to have a reasonable guess (e.g. I'd guess Pardosa nigriceps for yours) from features like the stripes on the cephalothorax and annulations of the legs but to be sure I'd feel the need to examine an adult under the microscope.
Thanks for your thoughts, Alan - I really appreciate that.
