These markings look very similar to yesterday's sighting, which is not good as it suggests there's only one - very conspicuous in flight and on thistle flowers, beside a smaller Sun-fly among numbers of E. arbustorum, a nice dusky bulb-fly and what looked like a small V.bombylans crossed with a smart bulb-fly. Everthing was looking odd here, especially the honey, megachile and bumble bees, as they were coated in dense white thistle pollen. It was easy to see see who was working the hardest - not that much pollen on the various hoverflies, making them all stand out..
