Scathophaga furcata?
Scathophaga furcata?
Description:

I think this may be Scathophaga furcata by the pattern of red marks on head, leg colouration and dark marks on wing. About 8mm. No better photos available...due to heavy downpours and little light... ID needed for Bioblitz records if possible.

Dismal dungfly

Thanks for trying: I'll add a crop in case it helps (I think the arista is bare...), but fear the images I got lack the required detail to be definitive with little depth of focus due to the dismal light conditions and I don't have a bright flash set-up.
