A strange fly with black head & eyes almost bug like. About 2 cm long with black & yellow haibee like legs

This is a very interesting find as these sawflies are rarely seen (distribution map here http://data.nbn.org.uk/gridMap/gridMap.jsp?allDs=1&srchSpKey=NHMSYS00204...) and if I'm right about the species (and I'm 99% sure I am due to leg and antenna colours and patterning - and there are very few cimbicid "club-horned" sawflies in the UK to choose from), this is the less common red girdled form. I'm not sure it's been recorded in Yorkshire before, but is known not far south of there and up in Scotland.. It matches images well identified as this on: http://eol.org/pages/3763965/overview http://www.treesforlife.org.uk/dundreggan/news201104.html
