Description:

Seen in the sunshine on the outside edge of a wood on mountainous health/grassland in Apennines.

I am sure it is a Fringed

I am sure it is a Fringed Pink but can't say which one, suggest you identify it as such.

Fringed Pink

Certainly looks like Dianthus monspessulanus, possibly subsp. sternbergii despite being in the wrong place in Italy (but this is also cultivated) - however photo doesn't show enough to be sure.
