I see that similar galls on the same plant have been called Liposthenus glechomae - is this a synonymn?
Not an area about which I know much at all, but the name would suggest that Liposthenus glechomae was found on Ground Ivy (Glechoma). Whether it can be found on Veronica as well, I don't know.

Sorry. I have made a stupid mistake. Liposthenus glechomae WAS on ground ivy. Duh! The galls look similar and I should have checked.
