To be 100% certain when identifying Punctelia's you first need to check the colour of the under-surface of the lobes.

P. jeckeri and P. subrudecta are both light-brown to creamy-whitish below but the upper lobes of P. jeckeri are usually brown-tinged and +/- pruinose at the margins.
