Think I snapped this yesterday (30/06/12) in garden at home, appeared to have a head consisting mainly of the compound-eyes, narrow light band on abdomen & stima spot on wing.
Almost certainly...it is seemingly a very common species anywhere remotely damp. Its peak period has just passed where I am, but there are still plenty around. A fresh male is simply stunning, with its covering of gold hairs, living up to its name of Chrysopilus.
