Description:

Small brown bird with distinctive call. Seemed to have a white rump & grey legs. I can't identify it from my books!

A rather scruffy example I think - probably young as you say. I've never seen a wheatear before, but expected them to be more 'handsome'! I'm sure this one will grow up to be a beauty though.
