whats the easy way to tell a

whats the easy way to tell a water dock from say broad leaved? I have a river near me that has both but never been able to tell the difference

The overall look of the plant

The overall look of the plant is big, base leaves are really large - note the 2nd photo next to the Yellow Iris - Fruits also have three large elongated warts.
