I considered Tarentola mauretanica, however the photo is of a fairly small gecko, no more than 10cm long, and the entry for Tarentola m in Wiki says that it has no tubercules on the tail - which this one has.
If it does say that it's wrong! Unless it is referring to a regenerated tail. Tarentola mauritanica generally has prominent tubercles on the tail.
I stand corrected - I failed to read the article in Wiki properly. It does indeed refer to a regenerated tail.
