Bright Pink globular fungus

These pink blobs regularly appear on dead wood, and after a day or so, they fade in colour to a dull brown. When fresh they are slightly spongy to feel. They are 2-4 mm in diameter and usually appear in groups as shown here


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
