Description:

Lots of these bronzey, purpley, even greeny beetles seen this day on the slopes of Grassmoor above Crummock Water in the Lake District. Seen on grass stalks, as here, and on the ground.

Thanks. Very new to beetles... it's a bit overwhelming at the moment. I think that finding out what's likely in a given habitat, location and season is my best plan of attack. Any tips for beginners very welcome.
