I'm pretty sure this is an Aphodius beetle

Most of the 40 or so species in this genus are associated with dung. Identifying further would probably require microscopic examination!

size?

I agree with Rob that it is genus Aphodius, and unlikely to be identifiable further from the photo. If we knew what size it was (preferably length in mm) that would narrow down the choices, but would still be difficult to say for certain I think.
