Description:

I have chosen Narrow-bordered as my likely ID but is there a chance this could be a Five-spot? I know it's just out of season..

Zygaena trifolii

http://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?bf=170 suggests the flight period as July - August for Z. trifolii while Z. lonicerae is June - July. http://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?bf=171

Is not this enough to go with Z. lonicerae?

Flight period

No...unfortunately, insects have not looked at the same site! I don't have my mapmate records on this computer, so I cannot check my times for each, but such times are only a guide and there will always be individuals which push the limits at each end.
